The 4th Biennial celebration of the COPA Awards, or Celebrating Outstanding Portuguese-Canadian Achievement, is targeted for May of 2010. Once again, the ceremony will be held in the city of Toronto.
The Portuguese-Canadian National Congress COPA Awards (Celebrating Outstanding Portuguese-Canadian Achievement) program was established to identify and celebrate individuals in the Portuguese-Canadian community from across the country who have achieved excellence in their fields and have made an impact on Canadian society.
The recipients of the 2010 COPA Awards will be honoured at a dinner reception on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Windsor Ballroom in the historic Le Meridien King Edward Hotel, Toronto.
The PCNC is now accepting nominations from the community for these prestigious awards. Anyone of Portuguese descent residing in Canada is eligible to be nominated for an Award provided that past COPA Award winners are not eligible, nor are PCNC Directors, Delegates and their immediate family members.
To successfully nominate an individual, please complete a nomination form and submit the form, including all required attachments, by March 12, 2010 to:
